New Covenant in Jesus Christ

“Behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers on the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was ahusband to them,” declares the LORD. “For this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the LORD: “I will put My law within them and write it on their heart; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. They will not teach again, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the LORD, “for I will forgive their wrong doing, and their sin I will no longer remember.”

Jeremiah 31:31-34.

This new covenant that God made was through the work of His Son and Messiah Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ was appointed a priest through the word of YHWH’s Oath after the order of Melchizedek, one without genealogy, and according to the power of an indestructible Life. Jesus as the High priest also was sacrificed for the world’s sins. Everyone is now able to draw near to God through Jesus Christ.

The new covenant through Jesus Christ is an upgrade from the covenant God made with the Israelites, they couldn’t keep the covenant God had to hold their hand and drag them through the wilderness, only 2 survived from that generation, only Joshua and Caleb made it out alive from that generation, because they trusted the Word of YHWH.

In this New Covenant the Spirit of YHWH comes to live inside of everyone who puts their trust in His finished work through Jesus Christ. Through the Spirit, God’s Laws are now actively being observed and followed by every real Christian because the Law has been placed into their mind and the Law has been written on their hearts.

By the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ Himself, “I will forgive their wrong doing, and their sin I will no longer remember.”

Let us draw near to God by Jesus Christ
